We are the largest independently owned and operated Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Broker in Canada, and the 4th largest overall. Established in 2014, SCB is growing rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join our team.

The Role

The Client Service Administrator (CSA) plays a crucial role on the Client Services Team at Sterling Brokers. The team is responsible for client satisfaction and retention by providing high-quality support and account management. The CSA supports the Client Support Specialists by handling daily queries from plan members and administrators. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and online platforms, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The role reports to the Team Lead of Client Services and works alongside experienced team members.

This is a fully remote (part-time) position, and we seek candidates enthusiastic about remote work and relationship-building virtually.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining plan member information across various online platforms, including internal systems like SCBConnect and carrier systems.
  • Supporting benefit administrators and account managers in resolving client issues promptly.
  • Preparing and comparing census data in Excel.
  • Producing policy documents such as booklets and summaries.
  • Supporting audit processes.
  • Participating in team huddles and training sessions.
  • Attending carrier training sessions.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the Group Benefits industry.
  • Supporting claims escalations for clients.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Group Benefits industry (e.g., working with insurance carriers, TPAs, HR).
  • At least 2 years' experience in Account Management, Client Services, or Customer Success.
  • LLQP, GBA, or CEBs designations are assets.
  • Passion for remote work and virtual relationship-building.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Comfort with web applications like Salesforce, Zendesk, Monday.com.
  • Strong task prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset.
