Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager for Client & Segment Analytics in Toronto to lead end-to-end analytics and BI initiatives. You will translate complex data into actionable insights supporting client growth, engagement, retention, and profitability across Canadian Banking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Admin, Engineering, Statistics, or analytics-focused master’s is an asset
• Experience in analytics, BI, or decision support with knowledge of KPIs and growth initiatives
• Own complex analytics/BI projects from problem definition to delivery
• Partner with business, campaign, product, pricing, finance, marketing, and channel teams
• Strong BI capabilities: dashboards, reports, semantic models, performance measurement
• Proficiency with cloud computing, SQL, Python, R, SAS, Excel, Power BI or equivalents
• Able to translate data into clear, actionable business insights with speed and rigour
• Strong project management, stakeholder mgmt, and cross-functional coordination
• Show initiative to adopt new tools, automation, and AI-enhanced analytics
• Excellent data storytelling and communication for diverse audiences
• Ability to manage multiple requests with urgency and accountability

Responsibilities

• Deliver analytics and BI support to Canadian Banking partners by identifying client/segment trends and opportunities
• Own analytics projects end-to-end from intake to post-launch measurement
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks aligned with business needs
• Support client segmentation through practical analytics, reporting, and applications
• Frame questions with stakeholders, define success metrics, size opportunities, and recommend actions
• Translate insights into clear narratives for senior leaders and executives
• Coordinate contributors and guide peers without direct people management responsibility
