Job summary

Scotiabank Canada in Halifax is seeking a Client Service Specialist for a 18-month contract to support Relationship Managers across Canadian Commercial Banking. You will be the primary contact, collecting onboarding information, resolving service needs, and ensuring day-to-day banking requirements are met for new and existing clients.

You will coordinate with internal partners, manage high volumes of requests with accuracy, and uphold Scotiabank service standards.

Qualifications

• Education: College or University degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of equivalent work experience in Financial Services, Commercial Banking, Small Business, or a related industry.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, customer focus, and results.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize a high volume of concurrent service requests.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage stakeholders and clients.
• Knowledge of client onboarding, Know Your Customer, and Anti-Money Laundering processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for clients while coordinating with internal partners to collect onboarding information.
• Support onboarding and end-to-end servicing of day-to-day banking needs.
• Ensure client inquiries are resolved promptly and set clear expectations on timelines.
• Provide high-quality customer experiences while following service standards and SLAs.
• Assist in activating client accounts and maintaining accurate information.
