About the Role:

This isn’t your typical Client Facing Paid Ads Strategistrole. At Wayfinder, you’ll lead strategy, creativity, and performance for a portfolio of bold, innovative brands in the games, geek, and creator economy space. As the strategic lead, you'll drive revenue, shape narratives, and manage a pod of media buyers and creatives to deliver impactful results. This client-facing role demands a sharp strategist who thrives in fast-paced, performance-driven environments and can seamlessly shift between big-picture planning and hands-on campaign execution.

This is a Full-Time, remote role.

We are looking for a Client Facing Paid Ads Strategist specifically with these requirements:

  • You’ve led digital campaigns with $10K+/month ad budgets across Meta, Google, or similar, and have the ROAS to prove it.
  • You’ve scaled e-commerce brands across platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, with a strong grasp of optimizing for LTV, AOV, and conversion. You know how to craft full-funnel strategies that drive revenue, not just clicks.
  • You’re hands-on with tools like Google Tag Manager, Google Merchant Center, Amazon Seller Central, and have experience supporting product launches via Kickstarter and Backerkit. You know how to bridge performance marketing with the tech stack that powers it.
  • You’ve been the go-to contact for clients, managing strategy, results, and relationships like a pro - while keeping everyone excited and informed.
  • You don’t just write ads - you shape brand stories. You know how to brief and review creative that connects and converts.
  • You live in dashboards. You interpret data fast and use it to pivot, optimize, and scale campaigns like a scientist.
  • You’ve led small teams or pods (2–3 people), mentored junior talent, and know how to get the best out of creative and media buyers.
  • A love for games (board, tabletop, or digital) is a big plus - you’ll vibe better with our clients and team.
  • You’ve worked with CRMs, task management tools (ClickUp, Asana, etc.), ad platforms, analytics dashboards, and can get up to speed fast.

Your responsibility will include (but not limited to):

  • Own client relationships and serve as the strategic lead.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns aligned with client goals.
  • Guide creative direction and copywriting for ad campaigns.
  • Manage a smaller marketing team, including media buyers, creatives, and coordinators.
  • Analyze campaign performance and optimize for high ROAS and sales.
  • Contribute to upselling and client retention strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance service offerings and team synergy.
  • Mentor junior marketers and contribute to building a high-performing team.
