An established industry player is seeking a Client Development Director to manage and grow relationships with CPG clients. Numerator Canada is looking to add a Client Development Director to our team to manage some of our CPG clients in Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience with CPG or Retail customer management and experience working within Consumer Insights, Shopper Insights and Category Management teams to turn, identify and align solutions to client needs.
Numerator Client Development Directors own a book of business made up of CPG and retail clients in Canada. They are responsible for helping clients achieve measurable ROI utilizing Numerator data reporting and services. They are assigned to strategic accounts and are expected to bring action-oriented insights to the account and bring complex client problems back to Numerator.
What you'll do:
Own a book of business of CPG/Retail clients with the expectation of growing the relationship and revenue over time across Numerator products.
Grow strategic client engagements with a focus on helping clients deliver 10x ROI
Understand client’s strategic initiatives so that we can proactively partner with them and assist with consumer insights/behavior strategy development
Lead client users on Numerator’s Insights business intelligence platform to navigate the system, interpret results, and design reports to answer their key business questions
Leverage Numerator’s proprietary consumer panel and resulting data to execute and deliver analytic insights and recommendations to Numerator’s customers that drive increased sales and improved marketing effectiveness
Develop a deep understanding of Numerator data, solutions and services including their key differentiators versus legacy approaches and competing offerings
Discover and explore interesting facts about consumer behaviors for presentation in industry forums, articles, whitepapers and blog posts
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of business sales/ client management individual contributor experience selling into consumer products or retailers with particular emphasis on building relationships and opening driving exponential growth; CPG/Retail experience with knowledge of insights is required
Deep understanding of multiple facets of retailer and consumer products with prior experience selling into marketing, advertising, market research, category management, shopper, or consumer insights buying centers
Understanding of household panel data (NPD, Nielsen and/or IRI) is a plus
Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Dunnhumby)
Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com and its use for updating accounts, opportunities, and deal stage
Deep understanding of the sales process with the ability to engage senior level executives in strategic meetings to ensure top down alignment regarding strategy and objectives
Skilled at building and managing customer relationships, including stakeholder management
Proven record of strong sales results where the individual has met and/or exceeded annual goals
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
Exceptional Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and G Suite skills
