Job description

What it’s like to be a Client Bill Assistant

Our successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support in billing and collecting premiums from insureds. This includes tasks such as sorting cheques, posting slips, and entering journal entries for service charges.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized individual with excellent communication skills to join our Premium Accounting team.

Your talents

If you excel at:

  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support for billing and premium collection.
  • Processing policy reinstatements and cancellations efficiently.
  • Maintaining knowledge of broker operations, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance customer service.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a financial discipline or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience, property and casualty insurance experience is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of insurance accounting, including premiums, claims, statutory overdues, collections, reinsurance, and loss accounting.
