WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Your primary functions would be:

  1. Applying payments through various methods:
    • Cheque
    • Credit Card
    • Online Payments
    • EFT
    • Pre-authorized Payments (PAP)
  2. Posting payments to the G/L.
  3. Contacting customers to obtain credit card information.
  4. Creating credit card tokens in a 3rd party database.
  5. Processing monthly PAP files.
  6. Contacting customers regarding declined payments.
  7. Reconciling payments and customer accounts.
  8. Communicating with both internal and external customers in writing and verbally.

You will be cross-trained in the following functions:

  1. Review credit applications.
  2. Pull credit reports from agencies and/or financial institutions.
  3. Provide recommendations and documentation for credit granting to the Manager for approval.
  4. Create invoices/credits.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  1. 2 years’ experience in payment application.
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. A basic understanding of accounting principles.
  4. Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
  6. An ability to manage time effectively to complete daily tasks.
  7. Forward thinking – strive to improve current processes.
