Job summary

BEST in Vernon, BC, a leader in custodial and maintenance services, is seeking a temporary janitorial associate. You will keep common areas, washrooms, and kitchens clean and inviting, performing sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, and trash disposal.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning products, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay is $18.25/hour, with Monday–Friday daytime shifts and opportunities for on‑the‑job training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• WHMIS Certification is an asset
• Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (up to 50lbs)

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common rooms, kitchens, washrooms
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean windows and keep blinds dust free
• Take out and properly dispose of garbage
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report any repairs or required replacements

JOB OVERVIEW
