Job summary

BEST Service Pros in Surrey, BC, is seeking a reliable cleaner to maintain common areas and washrooms, ensuring the building is clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. You will perform sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and waste removal while following safety protocols.

The role is on-call casual with 24-hour coverage and shifts at 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am. The wage is CAD 25.85 per hour, and a Canadian background check is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Physical stamina and mobility including reaching, kneeling and bending.
• Ability to pass a Canadian background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean windows and keep blinds dust-free.
• Take out and dispose of garbage properly.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and materials in a safe condition.
• Monitor and report repairs or replacements.

Shift Days/ Hours: 24hr operation with shifts 7am-3pm (morning), 3pm-11pm (afternoon) or 11pm-7am (night)
Wage: $25.85/ Hourly

JOB OVERVIEW

You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning and maintaining common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean windows and keep blinds dust-free
• Take out and properly dispose of garbage
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report any repairs or required replacements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• WHMIS Certification is an asset
• Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (up to 50lbs)
