Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking a part-time cleaner to work evenings after 6:00 pm at our Canadian childcare centers. You will perform general cleaning tasks across classrooms, offices and staff areas, ensuring bathrooms and high-touch surfaces are sanitized and stocked with supplies.

Prior cleaning experience is preferred; candidates must be able to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds and complete a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is preferred.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean toilets and sinks.
• Wipe and wash down tiles.
• Remove garbage from cans and diaper pails.
• Scrub and mop floors of classrooms, offices and staff areas.
• Vacuum all carpets.
• Clean all surfaces including desks and counters.
• Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, garbage lids and light switches.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies.

Specifications

• Able to work 3 hours after 6:00 pm Monday to Friday
• Flexible to work some Saturdays for deep cleaning / 4 to 5 hours
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 45 pounds
