Midland Courier is currently seeking a Courier Owner Operator Driver based in Dartmouth, NS Terminal. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
Main Role:
Manage time, pick, receive courier/packages, and ensure an accurate and timely delivery service to our client’s customer base. Enthusiastic, great attitude and exceptional customer service skills are a must to join the team.
Work Schedule:Monday to Friday 0 630 to 1630
What We Offer:
•Competitive Hourly rates $46.24.
•Excess KM Supplement $0.408/km - over 105 total kms/day on normal delivery route.
•Fuel purchased at authorized by the Company fuel stops will be charged to the Owner Operator at a rate of $0.408 on gasoline or diesel.
•Uniform Allowance of $367.50 per unit, per year.
•$200 safety bonus per quarter if qualified.
•Ongoing training and advancement possibilities.
•Education Required: High School or GED.
•Class 5 driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years’ safe commercial driving experience required.
•Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
•Must have a reliable Straight Truck equipped with a rear lift, no older than eight years.
•The Straight Truck should be in good condition (Checkups / Maintenance).
•Good communication skills.
•Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Able to lift to 75 lbs. using the proper equipment.
•Excellent work ethic and reliability.
•Safety conscious.
•The successful applicant would have to brand the vehicle midland logos in green.
•Follow the pickup and delivery procedure.
•Load and unload the Straight Truck properly and in a safe manner to avoid damaging packages.
•Accurately process daily pickup and delivery records while ensuring timely deliveries.
•Maintain company equipment standards.
•Listen to and communicate efficiently with the customer.
•Drive and use equipment (Hand Cart) while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
•Work in accordance with the safety regulation, company rules and procedures.
•Report any incident, accident, injury, damage.
•Will be required to support Transport when need.
•Scheduled start and end times may vary depending on business needs.
