Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking an experienced Class 3 Operator to work at the Cenovus site for approximately 6 months. The role involves operating Combo Vac units, tank cleaning, and completing daily documentation in all weather.

TDG knowledge and a clean abstract are required, with preference for candidates who have industrial sector experience. The position offers 14 on/14 off days and nights, camp and flights from Edmonton or Calgary, and integration into a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years experience with up to 18 speed manual Class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Experience operating Combo Vac units is required.
• Tank cleaning experience is an asset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate Combo Vac units.
• Tank cleaning (confined space entry).
• Complete daily documentation (logbooks, work orders, risk assessments, pre/post-trip inspections).
• Follow dispatch or supervisor instructions.
• Maintain vehicle and tools to company standards; daily housekeeping of the assigned truck.
• Attend toolbox and safety meetings and adhere to safety regulations.
• Keep training current and follow TDG and WHMIS standards.
• Provide customer-focused services in all activities.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Cenovus site, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 3 units. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Combo Vac units.
• Tank cleaning (requires confined space entry)
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation, including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field-level risk assessment, and pre/post-tripinspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of the assigned truck to ensure maintenance of the companyimage.
• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.
• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class3 driver’s license with a clean driver’sabstract.

• Previous or relatedexperience operatingComboVac units.
• previous tank cleaning experience an asset.
• Minedriveexperience is anasset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Confined Space Entry ticket.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
