Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Class 3 Operators to join the Fort McKay shop. You will operate several types of units including Water, Sewer, Vacuum, and Tanker in a safe and efficient manner in Alberta’s industrial environment.

Candidates should have TDG knowledge, a minimum of 3 years of manual transmission experience, and prior fluid hauling experience. This role offers a strong benefits package and a stable, long-term placement within a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with manual transmission up to 18 speed.
• Experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro, or ComboVac units.
• TDG knowledge and WHMIS/CSO safety awareness (asset).
• Physically fit to work in all weather and environments.
• OSSA/CSO/CSTS certification (asset) and pre-employment screening.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of Class 3 units (Water, Sewer, Vacuum, Tanker) safely.
• Complete daily documentation: logs, work orders, risk assessments, inspections.
• Follow Dispatch or Supervisor instructions.
• Maintain and clean assigned trucks and equipment.
• Attend toolbox talks and adhere to safety regulations.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Fort McKay main shop, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 3 units. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operateseveral types of units (Water, sewer,Vacuum,Steam truck,Tanker)in a safe and efficientmanner.

• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.
• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.
• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class3 driver's license with clean driver'sabstract.
• Minimum 3years experienceincluding up to 18 speed manual class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Previous or relatedexperience operatingWater, Vacuum, Hydro orComboVac units.
• Minedriveexperience is anasset.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.
• Must successfully pass BME driver's evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
