Job summary

Linde plc Canada is seeking a Class 3 / DZ Route Delivery Driver to safely transport and deliver gas cylinders to customers. You will load/unload cylinders, verify quantities, and complete shipping documents while adhering to TDG regulations and safety procedures.

The role requires at least two years of AZ/DZ/Class 3 driving experience, a valid provincial license with air brake endorsement, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. TDG and WHMIS training is preferred or provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of AZ/DZ/Class 3 driving experience.
  • Provincial Driver's License valid with air brake endorsement, incident-free.
  • Ability to manipulate cylinder sizes and weights as required.
  • Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • TDG and WHMIS training or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles to match shipping documents.
  • Check and placard vehicle according to TDG regulations.
  • Follow operating and safety procedures for assigned tasks.
  • Complete shipping orders and related paperwork.
  • Prepare trip reports, fuel tickets, and other reports as required.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects to supervisor.
  • Identify repair or maintenance needs for vehicles and ensure timely service.

Job description

Class 3 / DZ Route Delivery Driver (full time)

The Driver is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders to customers.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will be responsible to load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
  • Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of *Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is part of your role
  • Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
  • Further, you will complete shipping orders and related paperwork
  • Additionally, complete trip reports, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections, noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
  • Also, you will identify need for repairs and / or maintenance to vehicles and ensure maintenance or repairs are conducted with minimal disruption to the operation
