Job summary

CAPSTAN Hauling, a diversified trucking company and member of LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies, is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join its Grande Prairie, Alberta team.

Responsibilities include hauling bulk materials, performing pre-operational checks, and maintaining safety and paperwork. Candidates must have a valid Class 1 license, 3–5 years of driving experience (on/off highway), be able to rotate shifts, pass drug/alcohol screening, and hold a clean driver’s abstract.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
• 3-5 years on/off highway driving experience.
• Availability to work rotational shifts, including days and nights.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to navigate work sites and adapt to daily changes in scopes of work.
• Acceptable drivers abstract.

Responsibilities

• Haul various bulk commodity materials.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Operate loading and unloading equipment as required.
• Adhere to daily schedules set out by Dispatch & Supervision.
• Complete daily paperwork / reporting accurately and on time.
• Promote Capstan’s safety culture and adhere to HSE policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Perform other duties as required.
