Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Kamloops is seeking a Transfer Driver to move trailers across interior routes. Requires Class 1 license and TDG readiness, with a 5:00 PM start on a 4x10 schedule. Local posting, guaranteed home every day.

Starting pay is $35.94 per hour with potential to reach $41.97 after 12 months, plus benefits, RRSP matching, and profit sharing. Safety and customer service are key in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
• LDV certification (TDG) preferred or in-house training provided
• Must be able to perform winter tire chain up as per company procedure
• Mountain driving and highway driving experience preferred
• Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Safe operation of all equipment and strong mechanical aptitude
• High level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision
• Professional demeanor under stressful situations and customer service focus
• Ability to lift, load, push, pull and carry items up to 80 lbs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Availability for nights, weekends and statutory holidays

Responsibilities

• Transfer trailers to areas in the Interior and Delta as needed.
• Operate the vehicle safely, obey road rules and company policies.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions and work settings.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Transfer Driver will be responsible for transferring trailers to areas in the Interior and Delta as per business needs. The Transfer Driver is expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules and regulations of the road, and following all appropriate company policies and procedures.
