Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is hiring a Class 1 Light Roamer Driver out of the Saskatoon, SK terminal. The role covers linehaul/LCV driving or pick-up/delivery across the network, with roaming assignments as needed.

You may be based in Saskatoon but could be sent away for 1–3 weeks at a time; hotel costs and travel are covered when roaming. Competitive pay and full benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
• 2 years of Class 1 experience (LCV qualifications).
• Criminal record check may be required.
• 5 years drivers abstract on file.

Responsibilities

• Roam to locations across our network and cover driver needs as required.
• Drive linehaul/LCV or complete pick up and delivery of goods.
• Base in Saskatoon, SK with possible 1–3 week assignments elsewhere; hotel/travel costs covered.

We are hiring a “Class 1 Light Roamer Driver” based out of our Saskatoon, SK terminal. This position covers driver needs as required in various locations throughout our network. You will need the ability to drive linehaul/LCV or complete pick up and delivery of goods.

You will be based in Saskatoon, SK, but we may send you away for (1-3) weeks at a time to another location. When you are “roaming” in another area, we will pay the hotel costsand travel costs (if using your own vehicle).

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License
• 2 years of Class 1 experience ( For LCV Qualifications)
• Mountain qualified (will train the right candidate)
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and routes
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and remain focused during long drives
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
• Able to provide a Criminal record
• 5 years Drivers abstract
