Position Summary

We are looking for professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Owner Operator Truck Driver. Operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.

  • Start Time: varies
  • Deliveries for various customers in Calgary and area, including Southern and Central Alberta, up to and including Edmonton.
  • Every day home
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

What you will do

  • Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
  • Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
  • Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
  • Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
  • Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner.

What You’ll Bring

  • Valid Class 1/AZ License is required.
  • Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events).
  • Must have minimum 1 year of Highway and Winter driving experience.
  • Must be able to do Hand bombing and operate a Power Pallet jack.
  • Night driving experience required.
  • P&D deliveries with attention to productivity and customer service.
  • Possess own Day cab truck (No older than 9 model years).
  • Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service.
