Qualifications

• Class 1A Driver's License with minimum 2 years highway driving experience required.
• 1 year flat/step deck experience required.
• Willing to operate on open dispatch coast-to-coast across North America.
• Clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and pre-employment drug screen.
• All applicants will undergo criminal record search, drug and alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate flat deck/step deck freight across long-haul routes.
• Safely load/unload and secure freight per regulations.
• Maintain safe driving practices and report any issues to dispatch.

Edge Transportation Services Ltd. specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.

In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.
