Job summary

A leading transport company is seeking a professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver based out of any major city in the Maritimes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities include running linehaul between the Maritimes and the eastern U.S., ensuring timely delivery of freight, and operating the truck in accordance with safety regulations. Applicants must have a Class 1 license and at least 4 years of experience in North America.

Benefits

Canadian miles: $1.550 per mile
USA miles: $1.665 per mile
Fuel capped at domestic $0.408 per liter
Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly
Uniform allowance
Optional Group Insurance benefits available

Qualifications

  • Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
  • Bunk Truck must be no older than 8 years.
  • Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.

Responsibilities

  • Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
  • Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
  • Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation and traffic laws.

Midland Transport Limited is currently seekingprofessional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver. (Owner Operator). The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

What we offer:
  • Canadian miles: $1.550 per mile.
  • USA miles: $1.665 per mile.
  • Fuel Capped at: Domestic $0.408 per liter & U.S. $1.54 per U.S. gal.
  • Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly.
  • Pick-ups, drops, and wait times are paid (restrictions apply).
  • Uniform allowance.
  • Company will contribute towards the cost of painting the truck
  • Optional Group Insurance benefits available including downtime insurance

Qualifications
  • Bunk Truck must be no older than 8 years
  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
  • Eligibility to cross the border with US.
  • Familiarity with satellite systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
  • Deliver freight to assigned locationsensuring timely delivery.
  • Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
  • Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
  • Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
