Job summary

United Rentals in Canada is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to support Trench Safety needs by delivering equipment safely and on time. You will be a company ambassador, interacting with customers and ensuring courteous service, and you’ll be home every night since we’re local.

Responsibilities include dropping off and picking up equipment, operating manual transmission trucks, maintaining logs, performing pre-trip inspections, and following FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as manual transmission semi-trucks and trailers ("rollbacks" or dovetails") consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Must also be able to operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
