Job summary

CEDA is seeking Class 1 Operators for the Pressure and Vac division at Conklin, AB. You’ll operate and maintain heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance and checks, and prioritize safety to protect teammates and our clients.

Qualifications

• Class 1 license required.
• Driver assessment with clean record advisable.
• Class 3 with experience on Pressure & Vacuum equipment will be considered.
• CSO and H2S Alive certifications required at time of offer.
• Able to provide a drivers abstract with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years.
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must pass negative pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pressure and vacuum equipment and related tools.
• Perform minor maintenance and checks on equipment.
• Ensure safety for all team members and property.
• Provide quality services to clients.
• Work as part of a team and follow supervision.
• Learn new skills daily by rigging in and out specialty equipment.
• Leave the job site in a safe, clean condition with job completed.
• Complete required paperwork for projects.

Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking Class 1 Operators for our Pressure and Vac division at our Conklin, AB location.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment and various specialty tools
• Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Provide quality services to our clients
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
• Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Class 1license
• Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 or 18 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
• Will Consider class 3 with experience on Pressure & Vacuum equipment
• 1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment is preferred
• CSO and H2S Alive certifications arerequired at time of offer
• Able to provide a drivers abstract with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3years
• This role may require working at heights and within confined spaces
• Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
