Job summary

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years and is one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

We are hiring an experienced Class 1 Equipment Hauler to join our Transportation Division to support large work volumes for the road construction season. We offer a competitive wage (negotiated based on experience) with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class 1 driver's license and reliable transport to work.
• Ability to work long hours, Monday to Saturday, including overtime.
• Maintain safety-conscious approach and quality on long drives between sites.
• Accurate completion of digital timesheets, safety forms and logs.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and preventative maintenance on your assigned vehicle.
• Monitor fluid levels, vehicle operation and handling; report defects.
• Operate a tractor-trailer to load and transport heavy equipment between sites.
• Adhere to the CV hours of service regulations.
• Complete digital documentation such as timesheets, safety forms and logs.
• Load/unload heavy equipment; ensure proper load securement.
• Experience with small hand tools is an asset.
• Work long hours, Monday–Saturday, including overtime.

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and the surrounding area. We are currently looking to hire anexperienced Class 1 Equipment Hauler to join our Transportation Division to help with our large work volumes for the road construction season.

We offer a competitive wage (negotiated based on experience) with benefits.

The successful candidate's primary duties and requirements will include, but are not limited to:

• Completing pre-trip and preventative maintenance on your assigned vehicle
• Continuously monitor all fluid levels, vehicle operation and handling, and report and defects to your supervisor
• Operating a tractor-trailer combo to load and transport heavy equipment from jobsite-to-jobsite.
• Adhere to the Motor Vehicle Transport Act 1987 Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Hours of Service Regulation
• Complete accurate digital administrative documentation such as timesheets, safety forms, and log books
• Competent at loading and unloading mobile heavy equipment, proper load securement
• Experience working with small hand tools is an asset
• Able to work long hours Monday - Saturday including Overtime.
