Job summary

Ashley Canada - The Dufresne Group in Winnipeg is seeking a Class 1 Driver to support our distribution centre. You will deliver and pick up products at vendors using semi-tractor trailers and ensure safety and compliance.

We offer starting wages CAD 24 per hour, a respectful family‑oriented environment, and the opportunity to work for one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. Must have Class 1 license with Air Brake, clean abstract, 1+ year experience, and be able to lift up to 50–100 pounds;

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 Driver experience.
• Good communication skills and physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up product at vendors using a semi-tractor, 27' and 53' trailers.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip audits to meet safety standards.
• Complete Hours of Service logs and required documentation.

We are currently seeking a Class 1 Driverfor our Winnipeg Distribution Centrelocated at230 Panet Road. Ashley Canada - The Dufresne Group is committed to investing in our team members; we offer:

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Work as part of a team to provide an exceptional delivery service to our customers.
• Deliver and pick up product at various vendors using a semi-tractor, 27’ and 53’ trailers.
• Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip audits as required to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Complete all required Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and comply and present all HOS logs electronically when checked at a scale or stopped by the authorities.
• Complete all assigned documentation related to the delivery of the product.
• Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.
• Communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
• Support spotting of trailers as needed.

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement, with a clean Driver Abstract.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 Driver experience.
• Experience with hand tools is an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Good physical condition with stamina to lift at least 50 – 100 pounds.

Other information:

• Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule, Full-time, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm, occasional Saturdays as required
• Must be available to change schedule and work overtime with short notice, as required.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
• An up-to-date medical certificate will be required as a pre-requisite for employment.
