Responsibilities

• Drive and load truck on assigned routes according to contractual requirements.
• Ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Operate equipment under varying traffic, weather, and road conditions.
• Maintain contact with team and supervisor for instructions and issue reporting.
• Promote safety and proper use of tools and equipment at the worksite.
• Protect and promote the interests of the company in all matters.
• Ensure your own safety and that of fellow employees.

Eastern Shore Cartage (ESC) Environmental, a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is a solid waste company that services Sheet Harbour and surrounding area. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Class 1 Truck Driver based out of Sheet Harbour, NS.

Rotating Schedule

• Week 1: Monday to Friday (5 Days)
• Week 2: Monday, Wednesday & Friday (3 Days)

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Drive and load truck in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes according to contractual requirements.
• Ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of truck.
• Operate equipment under varying traffic, weather, and road conditions.
• Maintain contact with team and supervisor to receive instructions and report any issues on route or with vehicle.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Protect and promote the interest of the company in all matters and take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilities.
• Ensure safety of yourself and fellow employees.
