Job description

American Iron and Metal, located in Moncton, is searching for an experienced Self Loader / Operator with a Class 1 License for more than 2 years. Experience in any machinery is an asset. If operationally inclined, training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

1. Pick up and/or deliver to AIM's commercial clients or other AIM sites;
2. Secure the loads;
3. Tarp the load if necessary;
4. Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition;
5. Perform a daily inspection;
6. Keep reports up-to-date;
7. Always work in a safe manner;
8. Other laborious and operating duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Class 1 license required;
• Good drivers abstract;
• Minimum two (2) years experience;
• Self Loader experience considered an asset;
• Must be willing to be trained in Self Loader if not already.

Aptitudes Requested:

• Follow all laws and regulations regarding driving trucks;
• Responsible, careful, and alert at all times;
• Willing and able to perform labor-intensive tasks;
• Good knowledge of roads in the Maritime Provinces.
