Job Description

American Iron and Metal located in Moncton is searching for an experienced Self Loader / Operator with a Class 1 License for more than 2 years. Experience with any machinery is an asset; operationally inclined candidates will be trained.

• Pick up and/or deliver to AIM’s commercial clients or another AIM site;
• Secure the loads;
• Tarp the load, if necessary;
• Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition;
• Perform daily inspections;
• Keep reports up-to-date;
• Always work in a safe manner;
• Perform other laborious and operating duties as assigned by the Supervisor;
• Self Loader experience is considered an asset;
• Must be willing to be trained in Self Loader if not already experienced.

Qualifications

• Class 1 license required;
• Good driver’s abstract;
• Minimum two (2) years of experience;

Aptitudes Requested :

• Follow all laws and regulations regarding truck driving;
• Responsible, careful, and alert at all times;
• Willing and able to perform labor-intensive tasks;
• Good knowledge of roads in the Maritime Provinces.
