Position: Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a Class 1 Driver to join Team Herc. The successful candidate will transport, deliver, and retrieve assorted construction equipment professionally, safely, and promptly. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

1. Transport, deliver, and retrieve construction and heavy equipment.
2. Operate commercial or non-commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
3. Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service.
4. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries.
5. Maintain proper delivery documentation for inspection upon request.
6. Apply driving skills in various challenging conditions, including traffic, weather, and terrain.
7. Secure equipment using chaining, strapping, and blocking per DOT procedures.
8. Report any damages or incidents to the branch manager or dispatcher.
9. Report delays and accidents promptly.
10. Maintain flexibility to meet customer demands.
11. Keep accurate logs and paperwork daily.

Employment Conditions

1. Valid Class 1 license.
2. Recent commercial driver’s abstract.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience hauling boom lifts on flatbeds.
4. Ability to load and unload heavy equipment.
5. Willingness to work in the yard when needed.
6. Experience with electronic logs.

Pay Range: $33-35/hr

Salary is subject to factors such as qualifications, experience, location, and fit for the role.
