Job summary

United Rentals in Edmonton, Canada is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely deliver equipment to customers, with home nights. You will operate trucks and trailers, perform pre-trip checks, and maintain logs while delivering superior service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Able to lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• This position involves regular travel across the territory and working away from the home city for most of the week.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") per DOT CDL-A.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
