Papason Trucking Ltd in Prince George, BC, is seeking Class 1 Delivery Service Representatives to join its regional fleet and service British Columbia daily.

You will operate tractor-trailers, plan trips, conduct inspections, secure cargo, and maintain logs. The role involves coordinating with dispatch, ensuring safety, and occasional two-person team driving.

Competency in paperwork and good availability are valued as the company serves a wide network across Northern BC.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive tractor-trailer / long-combination vehicle over long distances
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
• Deliver product to customers using supplied equipment; pallet jacks, power jeeps, dollies and some handbombing
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Administer bills of lading and maintain log books manually or electronically
• Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers
• May perform emergency roadside repairs
• May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy where applicable

Papason Trucking is based in Prince George and serves all areas of British Columbia on a daily basis. Priority will be given to those applicants able to provide a more open availability with their schedule.

Class 1 Delivery Service Representatives

• operate and drive primarily tractor-trailor, long-combination vehicle to transport goods and materials over long distances
• plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
