Our team is seeking a Claims Supervisor with Property and Liability experience to join our leadership team at Gallagher Bassett Canada! How you'll make an impact

In the Claims Supervisor role, you will lead a team of adjusters and administrative and technical support staff.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Be part of a team of skilled professionals who are up for a challenge and take outstanding performance to heart.
  2. Drive adjuster hiring and development which results in a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  3. Lead a claims team that delivers high quality and efficient service.
  4. Guide, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports through the development of team goals and workload balancing protocols, while encouraging and delivering strong performance.
  5. Continuously find ways to improve teams' efficiency and quality utilizing Gallagher's technology.
  6. Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers in a professional and proactive manner.
  7. Effectively lead multiple priorities, recognize coaching opportunities, and position team members for success.

About you

Skills:

Experience with first party Property Claims and Third party liability Claims.

Knowledge about construction, ability to understand and evaluate estimates, policies and technical reports.

Required: High school diploma and 10 years related claim experience required.

Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces in which claims are being handled.

CIP designation or partially completed and/or Full License if applicable.

Bilingual in French and English also preferred.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred.


Behaviors: Requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Ensures flawless and consistent execution of client service instructions and performance guarantees. Ability to actively review work of others via file reviews; identify coaching opportunities, act on needed coaching opportunities and position subordinates for successful development leading to advancement within the organization.
