Allstate Canada is seeking a Claims Advisor, Accident Benefits to join our Alberta team. You will handle complex first party injury claims by telephone, written correspondence, or in person, reporting to the Manager Casualty Claims AB.

Qualifications

• Experience within Accident Benefits, Bodily Injury, Property claims, Underwriting and Sales.
• Completion of CIP designation or desire to pursue.
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with commitment to outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interpret insurance policy wording, determine policy coverages and set reserves on Accident Benefit claims assigned.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle accident benefits claims or moderate to high complexity by telephone, in person and/ or by written correspondence.
• Comply with best practices as set out in Allstate policies and procedures.
• Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure files are thoroughly documented and settlement of claims within personal authority.
• Set and define customer service expectations and collaborate with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, lawyers.
