About the role

We’re looking for a Property Claims Adjuster to join our growing team!

As a Claims Adjuster I, Property, you’ll be at the heart of what we do best: helping people. You’ll work alongside a passionate and diverse team of adjusters who are experts in helping customers get back on track after a loss.

People will count on you to effectively communicate and settle property claims both online and over the phone. You will help our customers through difficult times, demonstrating empathy and strong listening skills as you investigate a wide variety of claims through to completion. You will be responsible for helping our customers using a variety of different technological tools in order to provide expedient and efficient service.Plus, we have multiple different roles within Claims, and that means tons of opportunity for you to grow your career in ways that are meaningful for you.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:

  • Provide a superior quality of customer service to external andinternal customers, through proactive contact with the customer during theclaimsprocess.
  • Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
  • Investigateproperty claimsin a timely manner through communication with the customer,vendors, experts, adjusters and any other related parties
  • Negotiate with customers, third parties and insurers to settle claims, within your established authority scope.
  • Provide phone queue support to complete new claims intake and handle inquiry calls.
  • Stay in the know about current insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques and services.

Your Skills:

  • A college diploma or a university degree is preferred
  • 1-2 years ofproperty claimsexperience preferred
  • Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbalcommunication skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced andchanging environment
  • Demonstrates strongproblem solvingandpriority managementskills
  • Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
  • On-goingcommitmenttoself-development
  • Willing to pursue your CharteredInsuranceProfessional (CIP) designation
