Role Overview

The Claims Adjuster 3, Commercial Property (Large Loss) is responsible for managing high-complexity, large-loss property claims, ensuring a fair and timely claims process, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support members through empathetic service during the claims process.
2. Communicate proactively via phone, digital, and written channels.
3. Adjust complex and large-loss property claims.
4. Review policy coverages and communicate decisions.
5. Establish and manage reserves accurately.
6. Conduct thorough investigations and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
7. Negotiate and settle claims within authority limits.
8. Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to regulatory requirements.
9. Review repair estimates and provide technical guidance.
10. Mentor claims staff and support catastrophe plans.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills with empathy.
• Minimum 2 years of insurance adjusting experience; commercial experience preferred.
• Post-secondary degree preferred.
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or working towards it.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims software.
• Strong communication, investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
