Qualifications

As part of the structural team, you will act as a project manager. You will coordinate studies, engineering, fieldwork, subcontractors, and suppliers on various projects. You will be responsible for applying basic project management principles to ensure compliance with the mandate, deadlines, and budgets.

More specifically, here is an overview of your responsibilities :

Technical File Management

  • Participate in the design of structural elements (steel, wood, and concrete) in accordance with current standards;
  • Actively participate and design in the development of calculations, plans, and technical specifications;
  • Analyze 3D scan data to integrate it into the design;
  • Monitor the plan preparation stages;
  • Conduct site visits, field surveys, and structural inspections;
  • Conduct studies and technical expert reports and recommend solutions to resolve technical problems and issues;
  • Monitor projects, of deadlines and the quality of services provided to clients;
  • Provide technical support to clients;
  • Participate in project supervision.

Monitoring of site reports

  • Write complete and accurate project reports within the required timeframes and in accordance with standards, current regulations, and internal procedures.

Project invoicing

  • Prepare invoicing based on the established service offering;
  • Submit invoices monthly for the various projects.

Service Offers

  • Evaluate client requests and prepare bids for mandates, structurally, within the required timeframes to promote the award of mandates while ensuring the profitability and feasibility of the project. project;
  • Guide the client in achieving these objectives.

What makes you an asset to our team

  • B.Sc.A. in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum three to five years of proven experience in structural and building design. Any other relevant experience may be considered;
  • A passion for highly technical and quality work;
  • Meticulous and able to manage priorities and unforeseen circumstances;
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software (SAFI, Advance Design America, Woodworks, ETABS, Ideastatica, etc.);
  • Ability to work on different projects simultaneously;
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
  • Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) (an asset);
  • Communicate orally and in writing in English (an asset);
  • Hold the ASP card Construction;
  • Excellent writing and synthesis skills;
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Special Requirements

  • Good analytical skills and proven problem-solving abilities;
  • Sense of initiative and responsibility;
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of building engineering, including shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, deep basements, reinforced soil structures, shafts and tunnels, and ground improvement and reinforcement, in Design & Build and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects;
  • Software proficiency ;
  • Experience in construction supervision;
  • Coordination of designs with drafting teams and / or proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong ability to work simultaneously on various mandates and projects;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (report production, emails, etc.);
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills, dynamism, and integrity;
  • Work in a high-performance environment;
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team and adhere to quality processes in the division's day-to-day operations;
  • Carry out work rigorously and participate in the professional, individual, and collective improvement process;
  • Comply with applicable safety measures.
