Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Land Development team. In this position, you will use your experience working with coastal municipalities in the NC area to help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities!

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple site engineering projects and personnel, including design and construction phases.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
• Review and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read, interpret, and prepare site engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or modifications to clients, contractors, and staff.
• Assist with business development activities such as client needs assessment, research, and proposals.
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, including private and/or public land development projects.
• Experience in plan and specification development, including design/construction contract administration.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local site permitting processes and requirements.
• Valid driver's license for travel to various facilities and job sites.
