Based in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, theCivil Project Engineerwill report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that provides solutions over a diverse range of engineering, including Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage and Hydrology, Land Development, and Utility Scale Renewable Energy Facilities.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
- Work in a fast-paced and challenging environment on a variety of civil engineering projects
- Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveys
- Prepare and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations
- Prepare proposals, supporting documents, and permit applications
- Design and assess infrastructure works relating to stormwater management, drainage and hydrology, wastewater conveyance, potable water distribution, earthworks, transportation and other supporting areas
- Prepare Site Plans including site services, grading, drainage, and stormwater management plans
- Design on-site sewage disposal systems and private water supplies
- Design Subdivision developments – draft plans of subdivision, site servicing, grading, drainage, and preparation of subdivision agreements
- Prepare and review project cost estimates and bid documentation and perform bid evaluations
- Perform on site technical reviews of construction works
- Assist with project management and construction administration
- Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development

- You have 5+ years of experience in a civil engineering role
- You have robust knowledge in stormwater management, municipal servicing, and water resources engineering
- You have experience completing the Municipal Class EA Planning process
- You have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards
- You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and technical modelling software
- You are willing to travel periodically as needed
- You are trusted with the freedom to work independently while contributing to the overall team success
What You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should bring:- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Unwavering commitment to health & safety in the workplace
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
