Job summary

Binnie is seeking an Inspector to join our Infrastructure Langley Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities. This role is based out of our Langley office, with work locations varying across the Lower Mainland.

This role combines field and office work. You will inspect civil works, maintain records, prepare progress certificates, and assist Project Managers with contract management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4+ years of inspection experience in a civil engineering environment
• Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Registration as an AScT, C.Tech or EIT; CPWI preferred
• Valid Driver’s Licence and vehicle for travel to job sites
• Familiarity with MMCD and tendering process

Responsibilities

• Completing and reporting on-site inspections
• Preparing and updating as-constructed field record drawings
• Notifying the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential problems and liaising with municipal inspectors and outside agencies
• Coordinating with Contractors and assisting with construction administration
• Abiding by Binnie's Safety Program
