Impact Recruitment is seeking a Civil Foreman for a leading civil contractor in Vancouver. The successful candidate will supervise daily site activities, lead crews and subcontractors, and ensure work meets safety, schedule, and quality standards across municipal and private sector projects.

Applicants should have 5+ years in civil construction, read drawings, coordinate resources, enforce WorkSafeBC, and travel between sites as needed. CAD 47–52 per hour; benefits included.

Their project portfolio includes watermain installations, storm and sanitary sewer systems, road improvements, deep utility installations, and large-scale site development across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

About The Position

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring civil construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.


• Lead and manage site crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors, delegating tasks and monitoring productivity.


• Oversee civil construction activities, including excavation, grading, site preparation, underground utilities, watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer installations.


• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and survey layouts to ensure work is completed accurately and to required standards.


• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.


• Enforce health and safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with company policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.


• Monitor work quality, conduct site inspections, and resolve construction issues or deficiencies as they arise.


• Communicate daily progress, site issues, and resource requirements to the Site Superintendent and Project Manager.


• Track daily production, maintain site records, and report on labour hours, equipment usage, and completed work.


• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, inspectors, and other trades to ensure work is completed according to project requirements and timelines.

The Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience in a Foreman or Lead Hand role preferred.


• Strong knowledge of civil construction scopes, including excavation, grading, underground utilities, watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer installations.


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, site plans, and survey layouts.


• Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and manage daily site activities.


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with the ability to enforce safe work practices and conduct toolbox talks.


• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel between construction sites as required.

Compensation & Benefits
