Hall Constructors is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead civil infrastructure bids, perform detailed takeoffs, and craft competitive proposals. You will coordinate with the estimating team, operations, and project management to deliver accurate, timely tenders.

The role involves site visits, supplier negotiations, and a rigorous approach to pricing and risk assessment. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in civil construction estimating, a related degree, and a BC driver’s license.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience, with civil infrastructure bids.
• Post-secondary education in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Prepare complete, accurate estimates per procedures and bid requirements.
• Review drawings, specs, geotechnical data, addenda, and bid documents to define scope and pricing.
• Plan and manage estimates, including takeoffs and assigning work to coordinators or interns.
• Develop construction methodologies, crew needs, equipment selections, and schedules.
• Prepare subcontractor and supplier scopes, solicit quotes, and verify coverage.
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, and project-management teams for relevant input.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and bid reviews as required.
• Communicate professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers during tender processes.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and issues; escalate significant items to Chief Estimator.
• Prepare bid forms, assumptions, exclusions, clarifications, and submission requirements.
• Provide detailed handovers of successful bids to project teams.
