Job summary

Gilder Search Group in Vancouver, British Columbia, seeks a Senior Civil Estimator to lead and perform estimations for heavy civil, earthworks, utility installation, and shoring projects in the Lower Mainland. Hybrid schedule with travel to sites and the applicant must have reliable transportation.

Base salary in the $140k–$160k range, negotiable based on experience. The successful candidate will oversee estimating activities, mentor junior estimators, and drive project quality and delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years estimating civil construction.
• Direct experience in underground utilities, road works, excavation and shoring.
• Commercial and large residential project experience.

Responsibilities

On behalf of our client, we are offering an opportunity to join a growing group with extreme success working on local projects in the lower mainland.

Our client is well reputed among GCs and have an excellent track record in project quality and delivery. They are growing, offering advancement opportunities and flat management structure with good natured and supportive leaders. Our client is a civil construction contractor working underground utilities, road works, excavation and shoring on commercial and large residential projects across the Lower Mainland. We're adding a senior seat to their estimating team.

This role encompasses both hands-on and management. The successful candidate estimates work themselves and manages their estimators, growing with the company.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum of 10 years estimating civil construction
• Direct experience in underground utilities, road works, excavation and shoring
• Commercial and large residential project experience
• HeavyBid proficiency
• Bidding to both private and public owners
