Job summary

MacKay seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Vancouver, WA team for 10-12 weeks in summer 2027. You should be enrolled in civil or related program, with preference for seniors. You’ll work with experienced engineers on diverse projects and gain practical skills across water resources, land development and more.

You’ll develop/design engineering elements, learn to review plans, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D while meeting deadlines in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate in civil or related engineering program.
• Minimum GPA 3.2 and strong communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing a civil engineering career with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions and apply approved methods.
• Review plans, site layouts, and specifications for compliance.
• Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Meet deadlines and work well in a team.
• Prepare designs, specs, and cost estimates for project portions.
• Assist in analyzing engineering data and calculations.
