Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Technical Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting major construction projects across Canada. You will participate in gathering technical information, assist in site logistics planning, and help develop phasing plans under the project team's guidance.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field; hands-on project experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous hands-on experience through practical projects or an internship is considered an asset, but not required.
• Strong teamwork skills and an interest in construction methods.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD acquired through coursework or personal experience.
• Familiarity with Revit or Civil 3D is considered an asset.
• Basic understanding of technical English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in gathering technical information required to support the development of construction methods.
• Assist in the preparation of site logistics and temporary facilities plans under the guidance of the project team.
• Support the development of construction phasing plans, including temporary works cycles and equipment requirements.
• Conduct technical research to help identify temporary works solutions that meet project needs.
• Contribute to the preparation of simple specifications and technical documentation in collaboration with project coordinators.
• Prepare sketches and preliminary drawings to support designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help ensure consistency and accuracy across project documentation.
