This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
This role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities centered around ensuring the smooth operation and regulatory compliance of construction projects. Key tasks include monitoring and documenting construction site activities and discussions, preparing detailed daily site inspection and progress reports, and collecting digital photo records of site activity. The role also requires interpreting construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design, inspecting materials and construction processes, and advising contractors and team leads of any deviations from approved designs or safety and environmental concerns. Additionally, the position involves obtaining and verifying detailed servicing as-built information, reviewing contractor submissions such as shop drawings and RFIs, conducting detailed erosion and sediment control inspections, and preparing related reports.
Furthermore, the role requires reviewing and verifying contractor payment requests and progress claims, attending and documenting pre-construction and site progress meetings, and liaising with municipalities, conservation authorities, contractors, and clients as needed. Coordination of sub-consultant inspectors and reviews, as well as collaboration with contractor and municipal staff for maintenance and repair inspections, is also crucial. Finally, all tasks must be conducted in accordance with legislated and company-mandated environmental, health, and safety mandates, alongside other company policies, ensuring a comprehensive and compliant approach to construction project management.
