Job Description

We are looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Resource Infrastructure Group in our Vancouver Office. The team is involved in a variety of projects including access planning studies, roadway/highway design, pedestrian & trail bridges, resource bridges, site inspections, condition assessments, contract administration, and more.

The core requirements include strong technical skills related to transportation infrastructure such as options development, planning, design, tendering, and contract administration. Experience with low volume roads, resource bridges, and culvert design is valuable. You will lead and prepare studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents. Business development and proposal preparation are also part of the role. Travel may be required based on project needs.

Additional Requirements:

• Act as Project Engineer and/or Project Manager
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and design reports
• Use Civil 3D for civil designs
• Prepare specifications, contract documents, and drawings
• Oversee Civil Technologists' work
• Support technicians and designers
• Perform construction administration/inspection
• Manage projects, client communication, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines
• Follow company standards and participate in marketing and proposals

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate Civil Engineering degree
• Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer
• 5+ years of civil design experience in transportation, roads, highways, bridges, culverts
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience working across sectors in Western Canada and the north; northern experience is a plus
• Team player with client management skills
