Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in a role focused on municipal and real-estate development projects across Canada. You will contribute to detailed civil designs, from site layouts to drainage and utilities, while guiding less experienced staff.

Based in a hybrid environment, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and provide technical solutions that meet design standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil/municipal engineering experience.
• Currently accredited with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
• Proficiency with InRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee detailed design of civil projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare design drawings, contract documents and tender specifications.
• Take professional responsibility for designs and tender documents.
• Provide technical leadership in client and team meetings.
• Prepare tender quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Coordinate with design/CAD staff to meet current standards.
• May function as technical specialist or project coordinator on small to mid-size projects.
• Assist with professional development of junior staff.
• Some field work and travel will be required.
