Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team and deliver customized infrastructure services for municipalities and developers across Canada.

You will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and Project Manager, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on exciting projects and contributing to safe, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil / municipal engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or higher.
• Currently accredited with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
• Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience InRoads, Microstation, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Professional, self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and oversee the detailed design of civil projects including site layouts, road design, municipal infrastructure design, and site utilities.
• Preparation of detailed design drawings and contract documents and specifications for project tendering.
• Take professional responsibility for the designs/tender documents prepared.
• Make decisions on design and engineering procedures.
• Provide technical leadership in client and team meetings.
• Preparation of tender quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Preparation of technical design reports and studies.
• Preparation of applications for permits and approvals.
• Manage project budgets and schedule.
• Work closely with design/CAD staff to ensure designs meet current standards.
