Job Title: Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Specialist at Rogers Communications

Join Rogers Communications as a Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Specialist. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Civil Engineering National Standards, Wireless Civil & Equipment Engineering, at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus.

What You'll Do
  • Establish Rogers Standards to mitigate risk for new site builds.
  • Determine best practices beyond industry standards (CSA).
  • Provide civil engineering guidance to resolve issues related to compounds, access roads, antennas, towers, foundations, grounding, etc.
  • Assist Real Estate and Field Operations with landlord concerns, structural, aesthetic, re-roofing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, standards, and Rogers health and safety policies.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, design reviews, and optimization of tower configurations.
  • Engage consultants for site audits, structural analysis, and design reviews.
  • Support incoming third-party co-locates on Rogers towers.
  • Approve design reviews for new structures.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with the role's objectives.
What You Bring
  • Civil Engineer, Civil Technologist, or equivalent degree/experience. P.Eng designation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian telecom and construction codes, including CSA standards and Building Codes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD software.
  • Teamwork skills; valid driver's license is an asset.

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days per week at 8200 Dixie Road, Brampton, ON. A pre-employment background check, credit check, and driver’s abstract may be required.
