PS Technologies Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer focused on structural design and site civil engineering for substations and power delivery facilities. The role involves developing design criteria, foundation and structure design, and site planning with CAD tools.
The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience, P.Eng, strong communication, and ability to meet fast-paced schedules. Relocation to western Canada may be required and sponsorship is not provided.
PS Technology Inc. (PSTI) is a respected solution provider of planning studies, system protection engineering, and high voltage design of renewable and utility power facilities through 500 kV. PSTI has diligently and successfully served clients in Alberta and Western Canada for over two decades. PSTI operates as a fully owned company of Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI). A leading power engineering consultant firm, ECI provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.
PSTI has an immediate opening for a Civil Engineer. Technical focus will be on structural engineering and/or site (civil) design for substations and power delivery facilities.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering; 5+ years’ civil engineering experience required. Experience with ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. P.Eng. license is required. US PE license may be required. The successful applicant must be knowledgeable of applicable codes, standards and design tools. The successful applicant may be subject to client‑mandated drug and background checking.
