Job summary

TRUE is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist for our Kamloops office to design municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D on diverse projects for municipal, First Nation, and private sector clients in the BC Interior.

You will collaborate with engineers and technologists, perform topographic surveys, plan road and utilities, and participate in field inspections to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in civil engineering technology, municipal infrastructure design.
• Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology program.
• Registered or eligible to register with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D grading, pipe networks, and corridors.
• Proficiency in creating and reading civil infrastructure drawings.
• Experience with MMCD is an asset.
• Experience with field inspections is an asset.
• Experience in GIS/ESRI software is an asset.
• Strong written English and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, positive personality with client-driven perspective.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Commitment, energy and a strong work ethic.
• Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D including earthworks, site grading plans, road design, and water/sewer/storm infrastructure plan & profiles.
• Topographic, construction layout, and as-built survey.
• Construction field inspection and reporting.
• Working with diverse teams of Professional Engineers, EITs, and technologists.
• Visits to project sites.
